• Only in the date 28 DEC every year, the opening hours finish at "end of O-ASAJI".
• KYOZO is suspending its opening due to the inspection of the decrepit building. Your kind understanding would be most appreciated.

The Morning Service O-ASAJI is the ritual at the HONDO every morning. Its starting time is adjusted one minute a day according to the sunrise. In the left chart, ...

• During the term of the line goes down towards left:
  • The schedule is adjusted a minute earlier each day
• During the term of the line goes down towards right:
  • The schedule is adjusted a minute later each day

The Rosary Blessing O-JUZU CHODAI takes place 4 times a day while the Abbot and the Abbess come up to the HONDO for the O-ASAJI and go down.

The first once takes place slightly earlier than O-ASAJI schedule. However, the schedule of following 3 times are not fixed, depend on the application status of the prayers.

Anybody can join this O-JUZU CHODAI. Please visit at the pavement in front of the HONDO a bit earlier than the time when the Abbot or the Abbess passes by and wait for it. Neither booking nor any charge are required.

An admission ticket NAIJIN-KEN is required for entering places below:

1. NAIJIN of the HONDO (the inner part with TATAMI mattress)
2. O-KAIDAN Tour
3. Zenkoji History Museum in the CHUREIDEN Pagoda

The NAIJIN-KEN is available at the location below in the temple precincts.

• Ticket issuing machine located at your right hand side from the HONDO main entrance
• Temple goods booth JUYOHIN-JO just inside the HONDO main entrance
• Temple goods office JUYOHIN-JO in front of the HONDO
• CHUREIDEN Pagoda entrance

You can enter the temple precincts and the Outer Sanctuary GEJIN of the HONDO (the part with floor-board) in free of charge.
